We are delighted to be hosting the EurOMA 2027 conference at the University of York.

Set within a stunning campus, the University offers world-class facilities and a vibrant academic community, making it the perfect backdrop for this prestigious gathering of operations and management scholars.

Travel and directions

By air:

York is served by two major airports: Manchester Airport and Leeds Bradford Airport. There are regular flights from a range of European and International cities. Manchester Airport is approximately 2 hours from York by train or by road. Leeds Bradford Airport is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from York by road.

By train:

The city of York is on the main line running between London and Edinburgh providing regular trains through the city. The University of York (Campus West) is 2 miles from York train station. Please visit the National Rail website for details on train times.

By car, coach, bus or train:

York is easily accessible, wherever you are travelling from. By train we are just 2 hours from London and 2½ hours from Edinburgh. York Railway Station offers connections throughout the UK. If you are coming by air, Manchester Airport is a 2 hour drive from York whereas Leeds Bradford International Airport is only 45 minutes away. Flights arrive from hundreds of international destinations and there are frequent direct trains to York from Manchester airport. By road we are just 20 minutes from the A1 and have easy access to the M62, M18 and M1

Conference Dinner Venue

The conference dinner will be held on Tuesday 22 June 2027 at the National Railway Museum in York city centre.

Having opened in 1975 as the first National Museum outside of London, the National Railway Museum is now the largest of its kind in the world. Steeped in heritage and history, the former locomotive depot houses many famous and record-breaking locomotives, including Mallard and Bullet Train.
